New Delhi | Jagran News Desk: Welcoming the guidelines issued by the Centre for the fourth phase of the lockdown, the Delhi government has said that it will release a detailed plan to ease the restrictions for the national capital today.

In a series of tweets, Delhi Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal said that lockdown period was well utilised by the state government to prepare the city’s healthcare system in case amid the spiking number of coronavirus cases.

According to the latest data available at the Ministry of Health and Family Welfare, the dreadful coronavirus has affected 10,054 people and claimed the lives of 160 in the national capital so far while 4,485 have been cured and discharged from hospitals.

12:45 pm: The Delhi government had earlier demanded that the entire city may not be declared as red zone and instead coronavirus cases be categorised by municipal wards and not by districts.

12:21 pm: "We used the last two month lockdown period to prepare ourselves for dealing with coronavirus by improving necessary logistics and health infrastructure," the Delhi government said in the statement.

12:03 pm: In another statement, the Delhi government has said that the central government's guidelines for the fourth phase lockdown are in the right direction of opening up economy and leaving it to states to work out the details.

11:45 am: "Centre's guidelines are largely in line with the proposal sent by Delhi govt based on suggestions of lakhs of Delhiites. We have used the lockdown period to prepare our healthcare system if Corona cases increase, but it is now time to relax the restrictions to some extent," he had tweeted.

11:44 am: After the MHA order, Kejriwal said that the Delhi will prepare the detailed plan for the city based on the Centre's guidelines and announce it on Monday.
