Coronavirus Pandemic: Bihar reports 46 new COVID-19 cases, state tally rises to 1,079 | Highlights
New Delhi | Jagran News Desk: The nationwide tally of confirmed coronavirus cases have crossed the 85,000-mark while the death toll has increased to 2,752, as per the Ministry of Health and Family Welfare. Meanwhile, the recovery rate has inmproved to 35 per cent as 30,153 people have been cured and discharged from hospitals.
On Friday, Health Minister Dr Harsh Vardhan chaired a Group of Ministers (GoM) meeting and stressed that the focus of COVID-19 management strategy needs to be on the states with the highest number of confirmed cases and fatalities. Also, focus is needed on treatment and case fatality management, for which timely detection and contact tracing were the best way forward.
