New Delhi | Jagran News Desk: The number of confirmed cases of the highly contagious coronavirus in India has increased to 2,16,919 while the death toll has crossed the 6,000-mark, according to the latest information available at the Ministry of Health and Family Welfare. Meanwhile, over one lakh people have been cured and discharged from hospitals.

Amid the alarming spike in number of coronavirus cases, the government has said that the testing infrastructure has been ramped up considerably, while the daily testing capacity has been ramped up to 1.4 lakh through 480 government and 208 private laboratories.
