New Delhi | Jagran News Desk: The Delhi government's approval to open liquor shops saw people queuing up in large numbers outside wine shops with police personnel unable to manage the crowd. Several liquor shops were closed in Shahdara, East Delhi, Northeast Delhi, Southwest districts. According to media reports, nearly 150 liquor shops were allowed to open in the national capital in accordance with lockdown relations as per MHA. The liquor shops opened after 42 days in Delhi.  

As India enter its third phase of lockdown to prevent the spread of the virus, the centre has categorised all the 700+ districts of the country in red, green, and orange zone. The restrictions will be eased in places where less number of cases have been reported (except in Red zones) from Monday.

The total number of coronavirus cases in India has increased to 42,533 on Monday, while the death toll has surged to 1,373, according to the latest data by the Ministry of Health and Family Welfare. Of the total number of cases, there are 29,543 active cases, while 11,706 people have been cured and discharged from hospitals.

Meanwhile, several state governments like Gujarat, Telangana and Maharashtra are running special trains to send stranded migrant workers and students to their home states.
