Coronavirus Pandemic: 33 new cases in West Bengal, state tally reaches 550 | Highlights
New Delhi | Jagran News Desk: The number of coronavirus cases in India has increased to 31,332 on Wednesday, while the death toll has surged to 1,007, according to the latest data by the Ministry of Health and Family Welfare. Of the total number of cases, there are 22,629 active cases, while 7,696 people have been cured and discharged from hospitals.
Maharashtra remains the worst affected state with 9,318 cases and 400 fatalities.
United States of America (USA) recorded 2,200 COVID19 deaths in the last 24 hours, taking the overall toll to nearly 59,000, while the number of confirmed cases has soared past 1 million.
The global death toll has reached over 2.1 lakh while confirmed cases have crossed 3.1 million.

5:18 pm: 33 new cases have been reported in West Bengal; total active cases in the state stand at 550: Rajiva Sinha, West Bengal Chief Secretary.
5 pm: 55 more persons in all have been discharged from quarantine this past week in Srinagar (J&K). The total number of persons discharged after successful quarantine in the district so far is now 1985: District Administration Srinagar, Jammu & Kashmir. #COVID19

2:12 pm: 29 new cases of #COVID19 have been reported in Rajasthan today, taking the total number of cases to 2393 including 52 deaths. 781 patients have recovered from the disease: Rajasthan Health Department
