Coronavirus News: 'We have made farmer friendly amendments to the Essential Commodities Act' says Javadekar | Highlights
New Delhi | Jagran News Desk: The number of coronavirus cases is increasing at an all-time high over the last one week. According to the latest data by the Union Health Ministry, the number of cases has surged to 2,07,615, while the death toll has risen to 5,815. Of the total number of cases, there are 1,01,497 active cases, while 1,00,303 people have been cured. The recovery rate is 48.3 per cent. Maharashtra is the worst affected state with 72,300 cases and 2465 fatalities, according to state government data.
Amid this, the Health Ministry un its press briefing on Tuesday said that the mortality rate in India is 2.82 per cent, which is lowest in the world. The global fatality rate is 6.13 per cent. It added that over 95,000 people have recovered from the pandemic and the recovery rate in India is 48.07 per cent.
