New Delhi | Jagran News Desk: Amid the alarming spike in the number of coronavirus cases in the country, the government has denied the claims that COVID-19 has entered community transmission stage as the lockdown and containment measures prevented a rapid spread, adding that there gaps in contact tracing in containment zones, which were sealed after large number of cases were reported from that area.  

So far, the dreadful coronavirus has affected around 2,97,535 and claimed the lives of 8,498 people in India, as per the Ministry of Health and Family Welfare. Meanwhile, the number of those who have recovered and discharged from hospitals have increased to 1,47,195.
