New Delhi | Jagran News Desk: COVID-19 cases in India are on a rise in last few days. According to the latest data by the Union Health Ministry, the number of novel coronavirus cases in the country has surged to 1,06,750, on Wednesday, while the death toll has surged to 3,303. Of the total number of cases, there are 58,802 active cases, while 61,149 people have been cured and discharged from hospitals.

Since the lockdown has been extended till May 31, MHA and several state governments have released their own set of rules and regulations. 

Meanwhile, a massive repatriation process is being carried out under Phase 2 of Vande Bharat Mission to bring back stranded Indians from abroad. Shramik trains are running across the country to help migrants reach their home states. The Indian Railways on Tuesday night said that 200 non-AC trains will run from June 1 and booking will start soon. It is already running trains to 15 destinations across the country. The inter-state movement of buses and vehicles are also allowed by the central government and some states.

The global tally of infection has crossed 4.8 million, while the death toll has surged past 3.2 lakh, according to a data tracker by World Health Organisation (WHO). In the US, the death toll has surged 90,000, and cases have crossed 1.5 million mark, reported AFP.

10:10 am: Public transport has been re-instated in Delhi during the fourth phase of lockdown; As per Delhi Govt guidelines, only 1 passenger is allowed to travel in an auto-rickshaw at a time. A passenger says,"How is it possible that I take one auto and the children take a separate auto?"

10 am: A meeting of the Union Cabinet to be held today in Delhi at 11 am.

9:50 am: 61 more COVID19 cases reported in Rajasthan today, as of 9 am. Total number of cases in the state is now at 5906, including 2409 active cases & 143 deaths: State Health Department

9:40 am: Amritsar: Public bus services resumes on select routes within Punjab with 50% occupancy, in the fourth phase of COVID19 lockdown Till now, there are total 2002 COVID19 positive cases in the state.

8 am: Himachal Pradesh: Indian Coffee House in Shimla has resumed take-away services following relaxations in 4th phase of #CoronaLockdown. Bhagat Sharma, Manager says, "We have started takeaway & delivery services but our customers say they are missing ambiance of the shop".
