New Delhi | Jagran News Desk: COVID-19 cases in India are on a rise in last few days. According to the latest data by the Union Health Ministry, the number of novel coronavirus cases in the country has surged to 1,01,139, on Tuesday, while the death toll has surged to 3,163. Of the total number of cases, there are 58,802 active cases, while 39,174 people have been cured and discharged from hospitals.

After the MHA released the guidelines that need to be followed during lockdown 4, several state governments also announced their own set of rules and regulations. 

Meanwhile, a massive evacuation process is being carried out under Phase 2 of Vande Bharat Mission to bring back stranded Indians from abroad.

Shramik trains are running across the country to help migrants reach their home states. Indian Railways is also operating special trains across 15 destinations. The inter-state movement of buses and vehicles are also allowed by the central government.

According to the health tracker by the World Health Organisation (WHO), the global tally due to COVID-19 nears 4.8 million, while the death toll has surged past 3.1 lakh. In the United States, the death toll has surged 90,000, according to AFP.

4 pm: Maharashtra govt issues revised guidelines for lockdown. Sport complexes, stadia&other public open spaces to remain open for individual exercises in non-red zones; spectators&groups activities not allowed. Intra dist bus service with max 50% capacity/bus allowed in non-red zones.

3:53 pm: Maharashtra state government issues revised guidelines for #lockdown4. E-commerce activity for essential as well as non-essential items & material permitted in red zones. All industrial units/construction sites are permitted to operate in the red zones. 

3:40 pm: 8 new positive cases of #COVID19 have been reported in Uttarakhand today. Total number of positive cases rise to 104 including 52 recovered, 1 death and 51 active cases: State Health Department

3:30 pm: Karnataka: Around 400 migrant workers protested in front of Milagres College in Mangaluru today, demanding they be sent back to their native places. They later dispersed after Police Commissioner Dr P S Harsha visited the spot & assured help.

3:15 pm: Delhi Congress chief Anil Chaudhary writes to CM Arvind Kejriwal stating that Congress wants to deploy 300 buses at borders of capital to facilitate movement of migrant workers to their respective states. He also wrote that expense of these buses will be borne by Delhi Congress.

3 pm: MP: Around 40 migrant workers-residents of Seoni's Riddi village who used to work in Nagpur&have returned home now-are working at their village under MGNREGS. A worker Akshay says "We earn less here but we're happy. If something happens to us outside,families will be distressed"

2:49 pm: 128 fresh positive cases of #COVID19 and 1 death have been reported in Rajasthan till 2 pm. Total number of positive cases rise to 5757 including 139 deaths, 3232 recovered and 2386 active cases: State Health Department

2:38 pm: The government has also extended the time limit of One Time Settlement Policy for recovery of arrears of water and sewerage charges in the Urban Local Bodies of the State up to 30th June.

2:30 pm: Punjab government has decided to extend the deadline to pay the outstanding house tax or property tax without any penalty till 30th June.

2:25 pm: Punjab: Shops open in Ludhiana following relaxations in the 4th phase of #CoronaLockdown. State government has allowed shops in 'main markets' in urban and rural areas to open between 7 am to 6 pm.

2:15 pm: Maharashtra: Huge crowd of migrant workers gathered outside the Bandra railway station in Mumbai earlier today to board a "Shramik special' train to Bihar. Only people who had registered themselves(about 1000) were allowed to board, rest were later dispersed by police.

2:10 pm: Kerala| Shops open in Thiruvananthapuram following relaxations in #LockDown4. The state government has allowed shopping complexes to open with 50% shops, on a rotational basis.

2:03 pm: As many as 169 stranded nationals, including 119 female students, from Dhaka, Bangladesh, are expected to arrive in Srinagar, Jammu and Kashmir on Tuesday afternoon in a special repatriation flight of Air India.

2 pm: Centre declares Ambikapur, Rajkot, Surat, Mysore, Indore, Navi Mumbai as '5-star garbage-free cities'

1:50 pm: Delhi: Shops in Karol Bagh market to open on an odd-even basis during #Lockdown4. Senior VP, Ajmal Khan Road Traders' Assoc says, "Thermal screening of customers, use of masks & sanitisers & following social distancing norms will be mandatory".

12:58 pm: 127 more #COVID19 cases reported in Karnataka from 5 pm yesterday till 12 pm today. Total number of cases in the state is now at 1373, including 802 active cases, 530 discharged & 41 deaths (1 due to 'non-covid' cause): State Health Department

12:35 pm: Three more cases reported in Jammu and Kashmir's Kathua, tally rises to 35, said a report published in News 18.

12:20 pm: Chandigarh: Shops open in Sector-17 market amid #CoronaLockdown. The Union Territory (UT) administration has allowed the market to remain open from 11 am to 6 pm, as per its #LockDown4 guidelines.

12:10 pm: MHA issues revised Standard Operating Protocol on the movement of stranded workers by trains-States to share requirement for trains with Ministry of Railways; make suitable arrangements for sending/receiving people, train schedule, ticket booking info to be publicised by Railways 

11:59 am: Ministry of Home Affairs (MHA) issues revised Standard Operating Protocol (SOP) on the movement of stranded workers by trains.

11:50 am: 57 more #COVID19 cases & 2 deaths reported in Andhra Pradesh in the last 24 hours. Total number of cases in the state is now at 2339, including 691 active cases & 52 deaths: State's COVID19 Control Room

11 am: Delhi Transport Corporation bus services resume in the national capital during the fourth phase of COVID19 lockdown. A bus driver says, "Sanitisation of buses is being done at the start/finish points. Only 20 passengers are allowed at a time"

10:48 am: Rajasthan: A couple tied the knot in Bhadwasiya, Jodhpur yesterday amid #CoronaLockdown. Neetu, the bride said, "We followed social distancing norms & wore masks. Everyone should wear masks to contain the spread of #COVID19".

10:30 am: Haryana Govt has decided to start bus services on various routes for commuters to travel from one state to another. In this regard, the state govt has written to UP, Rajasthan, Punjab, Himachal Pradesh, MP, Uttarakhand, Delhi and UT of Chandigarh: Haryana Chief Minister's Office

10:15 am: Telangana: An Air India Express special flight arrived in Hyderabad from Muscat, Oman yesterday with 166 passengers onboard, under the 2nd phase of #VandeBharatMission.

10:12 am: 19 new COVID19 cases reported in the state, taking the total number of positive cases in the state to 1442: Principal Secretary-Health, Bihar

10:05 am: Delhi government has allowed resumption of auto, taxi, private cab and bus services. Only 1 passenger in an auto, 2 passengers in a car and 20 passengers in a bus allowed at a time

9:53 am: Mysuru: Karnataka government has allowed resumption of public bus services in the state during the fourth phase of COVID19 lockdown; thermal screening of passengers being conducted before they board a bus, social distancing norms being followed.

9:50 am: 122 new COVID19 positive cases, 1 death reported in the state; the total number of positive cases in the state is now 5629: Rajasthan Health Department

9:45 am: Bihar: At least 9 labourers dead & several injured after a truck & a bus collided in Naugachhia, Bhagalpur. The truck in which the labourers were travelling, fell off the road following the collision. Rescue operation underway.

9:40 am: Delhi: According to Delhi Government guidelines for the fourth phase of COVID19 lockdown, no pillion riding is allowed; Visuals from near 11 Murti statue located at Sardar Patel Marg

9:35 am: Shops open in the main market chowk in Prayagraj, following relaxations in #LockDown4 by the state government. All shopkeepers must wear masks, keep santizers at the shop & must not sell to those who are not wearing masks, as per guidelines issued by Uttar Pradesh government.

8 am: Taxi services resume in Delhi today during fourth phase of nationwide lockdown till May 31. Taxi drivers say, "We welcome govt's decision to resume taxi services. Taxis can operate with only 2 passengers at a time in a car. Govt should bring an insurance policy for taxi drivers".
