As aggression and threats against the female comedian started growing from abusers, Maharashtra Home Minister Anil Deshmukh in a tweet asked police to take legal action against the comedian and urged everyone to maintain calm, saying that the law will take its course.

Following this particular sketch of Joshua's performance which happened in April last year at Mumbai’s Khar cafe, the members of the Maharashtra Navnirman Sena (MNS) allegedly barged into the café on Saturday and vandalised property and enraged social media users also started sharing the details of cafe’s employees.
