4.2 magnitude earthquake rocks Jammu and Kashmir, no damage reported
Srinagar | Jagran News Desk: The Indian Meteorological Department (IMD) on Monday said that an earthquake of magnitude 4.2 struck Jammu and Kashmir at 4.20 pm on Tuesday.
"An Earthquake of magnitude 4.2 on Richter scale struck Jammu & Kashmir at 4:20 pm, today," said the IMD in a statement.

The epicentre of the quake was in the mountains near Leh and no casualties have been reported so far.
Earlier on August 9, an earthquake measuring 4.6 on the Richter scale had hit Indo-Nepal border.
