'Will we even last for 15 minutes': Shahid Kapoor spill the beans on his first meeting with Mira Rajput
New Delhi | Jagran Entertainment Desk: Actor Shahid Kapoor and wife Mira Rajput are about to complete five years of their marriage. When the duo tied knot, there were a lot of murmurs over their age difference. But the duo have evolved quite a lot over the years and are now happy parents to Misha and Zain. The couple recently opened up on their marriage.
Speaking to Vogue, Shahid said that they talked for about seven hours when they first met. “The only thought going through my mind was, ‘Here we are, sitting in this room on these two big sofas with nobody else around.. Are we even going to last 15 minutes?"
“I’ve never been into movies, which I think was a good thing because following that first chat, when we actually got to know each other, it was for who we are…not for who others think we are,” Mira was quoted as saying.

Talking about how she reacted to his role in Udta Punjab, Shahid said, "We sat together on a sofa and somewhere around the interval she had moved five feet away to the other edge. She looked at me and said, ‘You’re not this guy, right? Is this guy anywhere inside you? Tell me now while I can still walk away!"
Mira came out in support of Shahid Kapoor who was criticized for his role in Kabir Singh. The movie went on to be blockbuster collecting Rs 278 crore. In an Instagram post, she wrote, "Aa zamane aazmaale rooth ta nahi, Faaslon se hausla ye toot’ta nahi. So proud of you baby. It’s your time to shine.”

She also shared some secrets about her life after getting married. She said shifting to B-Town from Delhi has also changed her style statement. “I’ve also picked up on the way of life and way of dressing here… The first time I wore a pair of ripped jeans was after I got married! His fluidity towards life is another quality I love. It’s helped me ease up a lot. He’s lived longer, so if anything, I can benefit from his experience, and he can benefit from my fresh perspective,” she was quoted as saying by Hindustan Times.
Mira's fashion sense is much talked in the industry. The star wife enjoys her share of popularity and is spotted by paps in several events.
