'War' Box Office Collection Day 7: Hrithik Roshan and Tiger Shroff's action-thriller beats lifetime collection of 'Baaghi 2' and 'Krrish 3'

New Delhi | Jagran Entertainment Desk: Siddharth Anand directorial 'War' featuring Hrithik Roshan and Tiger Shroff continue its winning streak at the box office. As per boxofficeindia.com, the film minted nearly 27 crore on Tuesday to reach Rs 206 crore. The staggering figures were helped by Navratri and Dussehra holidays that boosted its collection.
With earnings over Rs 200 crore, War has become the third movie after Baahubali 2 and Sultan to reach the mark. It is eyeing to become the third highest engrosser of this year, after Shahid Kapoor's Kabir Singh and Vicky Kaushal's: Uri: The Surgical Strike.
Earlier it had surpassed Salman Khan starrer 'Bharat' (Rs 150 crore) and Akshay's Mission Mangal (Rs 97 crore) after collecting a total of Rs 166.25 crore in its opening weekend collection. On Monday, 'War' raked Rs 20.5 crore on its sixth day to go past 'Kabir Singh'. The film is now the highest engrosser of both Tiger Shroff and Hrithik Roshan as it beats lifetime collection of 'Baaghi 2' and 'Krrish 3' at the domestic box office.
Produced by Aditya Chopra under the banner of Yash Raj films, it also features Vaani Kapoor and Ashutosh Rana in pivotal roles. The story revolves around Kabir (played by Hrithik), a RAW agent, who is on a mission to kill a criminal turned businessman Rizwan Illiyasi and his aides to serve his country. Saurabh disguised as Khalid (Tiger Shroff) tries to kill Kabir by poisoning him, but he survives and goes on to complete his undercover mission.
Meanwhile, Chiranjeevi's Sye Raa Narasimha Reddy has engrossed Rs 185 at the box office collection (worldwide) while Todd Philips 'Joker' that features Joaquin Phoenix and Robert De Niro has collected nearly Rs 30 crore.
As 'War' continues to dominate the box office, we are eager to see the duo again on the silver screen. Talking about the future projects, Tiger Shroff will feature next in Baaghi 3. Meanwhile, Hrithik is taking a break after consecutive hits including 'Super 30'.
