‘Want my money back’: Twitterati roast ‘Panipat’ trailer with hilarious trolls
New Delhi | Jagran Entertainment Desk: Trailer of Arjun Kapoor, Kriti Sanon, and Sanjay Dutt- starrer ‘Panipat’ was released yesterday, and by seeing the trailer you will get mixed feelings about the film, as by its cinematography it appears to be a mixture of Padmaavat and Bajirao Mastani. Helmed by Ashutosh Gowariker, the film is a periodic drama revolving around the third ‘battle of Panipat, between the Marathas and Afghan King Ahmad Shah Durrani.
While expectations were high from the film, thanks to Gowarikar who has previously given us gems like Lagaan (2001) Swades (2004)and Jodhaa Akbar (2008), the trailer did not meet fans' expectations, many of whom expressed their disappointment on Twitter.

I was waiting for this trailer and I actually wanted to like this one but Arjun Kapoor is disappointing, he lacks aggression of a warrior and that attitude and also he doesn't like anything like a historic warrior. Casting felt bad and the rest is okish.#PanipatTrailer #Panipat pic.twitter.com/eHvzcrqEkU— Shana Launda (@shanalaunda) November 5, 2019
'Panipat' is yet another magnum opus of filmmaker Ashutosh Gowarikar which is based on the third battle of Panipat that was fought between Ahmad Shah Durrani and Sadashivrao Bhau, who was the commander-in-chief of Maratha Army in 1761. The film is slated to release on December 6, 2019.
Taking to Twitter, Arjun Kapoor on Tuesday shared the trailer of the film and captioned the post with, “Presenting the #Panipat Trailer- The Battle that Changed History. Releasing Dec 6." The video begins with Arjun Kapoor portraying the role of Sadashiv Rao Bhau-- a Peswa's cousin. Kriti Sanon plays the role of his love interest. She joins Marathas to fight against Ahmed Shah Abdali (played by Dutt). The War showcases the events that led to the third battle of Panipat.

Talking about the main star cast, Arjun Kapoor was last seen in 'India's Most Wanted'. Besides Panipat, the actor is also linked to Sandeep Aur Pinky Farrar and Budha. Kriti, on the other hand, is enjoying the success of her film 'Housefull 4' that has already garnered nearly 200 crore at the box office. Sanjay Dutt, however, failed to impress the viewers in his last release 'Prassthanam'.
