Wajid Khan's mother admitted to Chembur hospital after testing positive for Coronavirus
New Delhi | Jagran Entertainment Desk: Little more than a day after Wajid Khan (42), the counterpart of famous Sajid-Wajid music composing duo succumbed to a cardiac arrest while fighting renal complications alongside the COVID-19 infection, Razina Khan, Sajid-Wajid's mother has also tested positive for coronavirus.
Razina Khan is currently admitted in Mumbai's Surana Hospital in Chembur, the same medical treatment facility where Wajid Khan, too was admitted until June 1st when he finally succumbed to the renal complications.
"She (Razina Khan) has tested positive. She is doing fine and will remain in the hospital for few more days till her test comes out negative," a family source was quoted as saying by the news agency PTI.
Collaborating alongside brother Sajid Khan, Wajid Khan completed the famous music composing duo through the music they created together which struck the chords with millions all over the country and beyond.
The duo started off by composing the music in Arbaaz Khan's 1998 superhit 'Pyaar kiya to Darna Kya' starring Kajol and Salman Khan, the latter started the trend of displaying six-pack abs on-screen with the film through the music composed by Sajid-Wajid.
The duo went on to give chartbuster music in later years, with 'Tere Naam' (2003), 'Mujhse Shaadi Karogi' (2004), 'Partner' (2007), 'Wanted' (2009), 'Rowdy Rathod' (2012), 'Housefull-2' (2012) 'Ek tha Tiger' (2012), 'Heropanti' (2014), 'Judwaa 2' (2017), and most remarkably in 'Dabangg' Franchise (2010-2019).
The state of Maharashtra so-far has recorded 72,300 confirmed Coronavirus cases of which over 38,000 remain active alongside 2465 fatalities, according to the latest data available on Ministry of Health and Family Welfare's website.
However, an Indian Express report recently suggested that the seven-day Compounded Daily Growth Rate (CDGR), which represents the rate of the spread of infection, has remained below the National average in Maharashtra for third consecutive day.
