Two booked for threatening Rhea Chakraborty over Sushant Singh Rajput’s death
New Delhi | Jagran Entertainment Desk: Mumbai Police has booked two persons for threatening and abusing Bollywood actress Rhea Chakraborty over Sushant Singh Rajput's death. Chakraborty had Thursday posted a screenshot of death threats by a user on Instagram. In her post, she had also revealed the identity of the user, who threatened her.
"On the complaint of actor Rhea Chakraborty, an offense has been registered at Santacruz Police Station against two Instagram account holders for sending obscene messages and threatening her," ANI quoted Abhishek Trimukhe, DCP Zone 9, Mumbai as saying.
Rhea had requested the cybercrime department to take necessary action against the social media abuser. She said that she kept quiet when people called her gold digger, murderer and slut shammed her.
"But how does my silence give you the right to tell me that you will get me R***D and MURDERED if I don’t commit suicide," she wrote in her post and tagged the user who threatened her.
She had also written to Union Home Minister Amit Shah demanding CBI probe into the death of her boyfriend Shushant Singh Rajput.
"Respected @amitshahofficial sir, I'm Sushant Singh Rajput's girlfriend Rhea Chakraborty, it is now over a month since his sudden demise. I have complete faith in the government, however, in the interest of justice, I request you with folded hands to initiate a CBI enquiry into this matter. I only want to understand what pressures prompted Sushant to take this step," Rhea Chakraborty wrote on Instagram.
