Tanhaji Box Office Collection: Ajay Devgn-starrer continues to dominate audience, earns Rs 128 crore in eight days
New Delhi | Jagran Entertainment Desk: Superstar Ajay Devgn-starrer Tanhaji - The Unsung Warrior continues to dominate the box office, with its increasing collections. While Tanhaji's collections have dipped on second Friday, it is still well on its track to touch Rs 150 crore by this week's end. Ajay Devgn’s 100th film is also expected to cross the Rs 200 crore mark if the film continues to work like this at the box office.
At the end of Thursday, Tanhaji stood well at Rs 118.91 crore. Despite the box office collection dipping slightly on Friday, the film still managed to earn Rs 10.06 crore taking the total collection to Rs 128.97 crore.
Tanhaji: The Unsung Warrior made Rs 61.93 crore in first three days of its release. It crossed Rs 100-crore mark on its sixth day (Wednesday). The Ajay Devgn film is expected to earn Rs 150 crore by the end of this week.
Tweeting about the collections of the film, Bollywood trade analyst Taran Adarsh on his Twitter account wrote, “#Tanhaji emerges a big favourite of moviegoers... Tanhaji: The Unsung Warrior's box office collections saw a fall in the early morning shows, as mentioned in a report in boxofficeindia. However, the earnings picked up by afternoon. The film has performed very well in Maharashtra that accounts for over 50 per cent of its all-India business on second Friday.
Tanhaji: The Unsung Warrior revolves around the life of Chhatrapati Shivaji Maharaj's military leader, Tanaji Malusare, who fought against Aurangzeb's soldier Udaybhan Singh Rathore played by Saif Ali Khan to prevent the Mughal army from laying seize to their fortress. Apart from Ajay and Saif, the film also stars Kajol, Sharad Kelkar, Luke Kenny, Shashank Shende, Devdatta Nage and Neha Sharma in prominent roles.
