Sushant Singh Rajput's 'Dil Bechara' trailer to release today: Here's why expectations are high from SSR's last film
New Delhi | Jagran Entertainment Desk: The trailer of actor Sushant Singh Rajput’s final film ‘Dil Bechara’, opposite debutant Sanjana Sanghi will be released on Monday, 6th July. Directed by famed casting director Mukesh Chhabra, the film is based on American author John Green’s novel ‘The Fault in Our Stars’ whose terminally ill lead characters explore beautifully nuanced notions of love at the moments of extreme agony.
What to expect from the film and film’s trailer before that?
If the makers have followed John Green, and source material sincerely, then this 24th July, Manny (Sushant) and Kizie’s (Sanjana) hospital scenes can make you go far more emotional than those of Naina (Preity Zinta) and Rahul (Shah Rukh Khan) in the climax of Nikkhil Advani’s ‘Kal Ho Naa Ho’ (2003).
Back then, viewers knew that unlike in the fictional portrayal of a film, Shah Rukh remains dapped up with life and worldwide admiration off the screen. With Sushant, however, you know that though the admiration remains, but unfortunately he will never make up to the screen for any other creation after this ever again.

’The Fault In Our Stars’ Was a Runaway Hit in the West
Both the book and the Hollywood film based on the same, were received with huge posh and cries by the readers and the audience in the west. Augustus and Hazel (Manny and Kizie in ‘Dil Bechara’) after meeting at a Cancer-support group, go on a one-of-its-kind trip to Amsterdam, while both being terminally ill and Hazel supported by Oxygen all this while.
Both of them end up falling in love despite the imminent eventuality of death that hangs above them all the time. We are not sure, where does this travel go up to in ‘Dil Bechara’, except for Paris (as shown in movie’s poster), but if Manny and Kizie too visit Amsterdam, along with AR Rahman’s music to top them with, it will surely hit you on a different note altogether.
Hazel’s mother’s role appears to have replaced with Saif Ali Khan being Kizie’s (Sanjana Sanghi) father in the film, according to the recent reports in the media.
When will be the trailer released?
The trailer of ‘Dil Bechara’will be uploaded online by the makers of the film, after middle of the day on Monday, 6th June across all the social media platforms.
Skipping the theatrical release due to Coronavirus pandemic, Sushant Singh Rajput and Sanjana Sanghi-starrer ‘Dil Bechara’ will release on Disney-Hotstar on 24th July.
Sushant (34) died by suicide on the second Sunday of June, 2020. His body was found hanging from the fan of his house in Mumbai’s Bandra, and after that on later, police found anti-depressant medication and prescriptions which the actor was reportedly following for past six months. Originally from Patna, Sushant is survived by his father and three sisters.
