New Delhi | Jagran Entertainment Desk: The trailer of Sushant Singh Rajput-Sanjana Sanghi starrer ‘Dil Bechara’ was released on Monday, that immediately struck the chord with fans and admirers of late actor worldwide. Minutes before the Hour’s arm was to hit four on the clock on Monday evening, the trailer already had close to 50,000 likes on YouTube with tens of thousands in ‘Wait’ for the imminent premiere of the trailer. At the moment of publishing this story, the ‘Dil Bechara’ trailer has over 4.7 Million Likes with over 22 Million views, just within 18 hours of its release. With this, the trailer of SSR’s ‘Dil Bechara’ has outshined one of the biggest pop culture phenomena of recent years.

In comparison, the trailers of biggest global blockbusters of all time, ‘Avengers: Infinity War’ and ‘Avengers: Endgame’ currently have 3.2 million and 2.9 million likes respectively. Whereas, the trailer of the final season of globally popular ‘Game of Thrones’ have close to a million likes on YouTube.

‘Dil Bechara’ is directed by the famed casting director Mukesh Chhabra, and is based on American author John Green’s novel ‘The Fault in Our Stars’, whose terminally ill lead characters explore beautifully nuanced notions of love by travelling to certain places filled with a blend of Love and Loss (such as Amsterdam’s Anne Frank House) at the moments of extreme agony.

‘Dil Bechara’, thus connects the terminally ill but joyfully terrific Manny (Sushant Singh Rajput) and Kizie (Sanjana Sanghi) within an immaculate thread of Love and loss, which seems to have bonded beautifully in the trailer amid the shreds of AR Rahman’s music, whose words have been penned by lyricist Amitabh Bhattacharya.
