New Delhi | Jagran Entertainment Desk: Actor Sushant Singh Rajput’s death not only left the nation in shock but has also sparked a widespread outcry against nepotism prevalent in the country’s showbiz industry.

Several star kids, along with director Karan Johan and superstar Salman Khan, are at the receiving end with people demanding their boycott for promoting nepotism in the industry, which has left the talented youth struggling.

Sushant’s brother-in-law Vishal Kirti recently took to Twitter to inform about a website or an app named Nepometer, which he said will be launched soon.

Kirti, husband of Sushant’s sister Shweta Singh Kirti, said that Nepometer will provide ratings to Bollywood films, based on the extent of nepotism or independent crew it has.    

“Fight Bollywood Nepotism with Information. We will provide ratings for movies based on how nepotistic or independent movie crew is. If the #nepometer is high, then it’s time to #boycottbollywoodnepotism #fightnepotism,” read the caption.

The tweet read, “Created by my brother @mayureshkrishna in the memory of my brother in law @itsSSR.”    

On the other hand, Mumbai Police have recorded statements of nearly 30 people in connection with Sushant’s death as they are investigating all possible angles to find out what led the actor take the extreme step.   

On Tuesday, they recorded the statement of Sanjana Sanghi, Sushant's co-star in "Dil Bechara", the actor's last film which is slated for a digital release on July 24. Sanjana was interrogated at Bandra police station for around seven hours.
