New Delhi | Jagran Entertainment Desk: The ‘Hera Pheri' franchise is a wildly popular hit among the Indian masses of all age-groups -- oldies, youngsters, millennials and GenX alike. For instance, take a look at your social media timeline at any hour of the day, take any trending topic on the hilarious tickles from the entertainment universe, and for most part the meme templates contemplating either Babu Bhaiya (played by Paresh Rawal), Raju (Akshay Kumar) or Shyam (Suniel Shetty) will end up dominating your lightened up senses stimulated by the humour, straight from the house of Priyadarshan's 'Hera Pheri' franchise. The first couple of installments of 'Hera Pheri' were released in 2000 and 2006 to massive fanfare.

Well, actor Suniel Shetty who plays the character of Shyam in this Priyadarshan creation, raised the levels of optimism among the fans of and wildly popular fans (you haven't seen anyone disliking Hera Pheri, have you?) of the popular franchise that he is hopeful that the next installment of 'Hera Pheri' will happen soon as he strongly believes that 'whenever it does, it will happen'.

According to a Mumbai Mirror report, actor Suniel Shetty has revealed that the film is on hold but the creators intend to make 'Hera Pheri-3' as soon as some differences are ironed out.

“Everything is on hold for now. The film’s team intends to make Hera Pheri 3, but some differences need to be ironed out first. The film is a big hit on television as well as in the meme world and we are all aware of the anticipation among the audience for the film," Suniel Shetty was quoted as saying by Mumbai Mirror.

Earlier, the 'Border' actor, revealing that the team Hera Pheri has lot of respect for each other and 'it works like magic' everytime they are to blend professionally, said that he is positive that the film will be made.

“We have a lot of respect for each other and so I think it works like magic and I am looking forward to it. It will happen and whenever it does I know it will happen,” Suniel Shetty had told Times of India.
