Salman Khan to step down as host of Bigg Boss 14? Deets inside
New Delhi | Jagran Entertainment Desk: Salman Khan, who has hosted Bigg Boss for the most number of times, has decided to leave the popular TV reality show and will not be a part of the 14th season of the show.
According to a Pinkvilla report, the 54-year-old actor wasn’t pleased with show selecting Sidharth Shukla as the winner of the 13th season and felt that the makers were biased towards him.
“Salman Khan felt that the channel was a bit biased towards Sidharth Shukla throughout the season. The superstar was left angry after the channel decided to pick Sidharth as the winner,” a source, quoted by Pinkvilla, said.
“The shoot was infact delayed post this (the reason why the winner announcement happened post 12:00 AM). However, Salman has now made it clear to the channel that he won’t be a part of the show any longer,” the source added.
Reports that Salman Khan, who was last seen in Dabangg 3, leaving the show have doing rounds for a while.
The actor had earlier also said that he might leave the show. “Yeah, a part of mine wants to cut that part and throw it out and the other part wants to keep it. And the latter is haavi on the part that wants to throw it out,” Salman in an interview with Mumbai Mirror had said.
Sidharth Shukla was declared as the winner of the 13th season of Bigg Boss on Saturday. Sidharth, who was a fan favourite throughout the season, bagged Rs 50 lakhs after winning.
Sidharth was followed by Asim Riaz as runners-up while Shehnaaz Gill was third. Rashami Desai was fourth while Arti Singh was fifth.
The 13th season of Bigg Boss started in October 2019 and ended on February 15, 2020.
