New Delhi | Jagran Entertainment Desk: The second installment of the 2013 popular film Goa Goa Gone has been confirmed and the film is slated to release in 2021. In a tweet, Bollywood Trade Analyst and film critic Taran Adarsh said, "IT'S OFFICIAL... Producer Dinesh Vijan and Eros International reunite for #GoGoaGone2... sequel of #GoGoaGone... will take off where the original ended... starts September 2020... March 2021 release."

Meanwhile Maddock Films tweeted: "One can try, but never really escape this trip! Prepare yourself for the craziest sequel of the best "zom-com" as ''Go Goa Gone 2'' releases in March 2021!"

Details related to the film are still under wraps.

"It''s been quite a journey from 2013, and I''m so excited we''re back again with this crazy ride! ''Go Goa Gone'' redefined many things, and we are gunning to do that again. The characters have stayed with us all this while and we are thrilled to bring them back to life!," Dinesh Vijan, Founder of Maddock Films told IANS.

"They are finishing the final draft and should roll by September 2020," he added. 

The sequel will kick off in September 2020 and will release in March next year.

As per Sunil Lulla, Managing Director, Eros International Media Ltd, "Go Goa Gone was a very special film, and one that has immense recall. It''s attained a cult status thus making it great for a franchise."

The 2013 film "Go Goa Gone" is a zombie apocalypse action comedy directed by Raj and D.K. The film features Saif Ali Khan, Kunal Kemmu, Vir Das, Puja Gupta and Anand Tiwari. After the release, the film amassed a huge cult following, especially younger audiences. Made on a budget of Rs 19 crores, the film had garnered a total of Rs 38.2 crores at the box office.
