New Delhi | Jagran Entertainment Desk: Bollywood lost its another gem as noted and young actor Sushant Singh Rajput was found hanging in his residence in Mumbai’s Bandra on Sunday (June 14). The police have suspected that the actor had committed suicide, yet no confirmations has been issued by any authority till now.

The 34-year-old actor who had established himself in the Bollywood industry was among the few actors who started their career from the small screen and became successful in the B-town.  

Sushant, before entering the big screen, started from Ekta Kapoor’s TB show Kis Desh Mein Hai Mera Dil, playing the role of a stepbrother in the serial. Sushant impressed the producers with his performance and garnered the role of the main lead in Ekta Kapoor’s next show.  

Later, Ekta Kapoor convinced the channel to cast Sushant Singh Rajput as the lead actor for her show Pavitra Rishta, and Sushant ended up gaining prominence with his brilliant acting in the show. In Pavitra Rishta, Sushant won hearts as Manav and viewers loved his on-screen chemistry with Ankita Lokhande, who played Archana on the show. 

The Bollywood actor known for his portrayal of former India captain Mahendra Singh Dhoni in his biopic ‘MS Dhoni’, was also trained at Shiamak Davar’s dance academy. Sushant also participated in several dance reality shows.

Sushant participated in Zara Nachke Dikha 2 in 2010. He was a part of Mast Kalandar Boys team in the dance reality show. During his participation in the dance show, Sushant was shooting for both Pavitra Rishta and Zara Nachke Dikha.

Apart from Zara Nachke Dikha, Sushant also participated in Jhalak Dikhla Jaa season 4 in 2010. Sushant was paired against choreographer Shampa Sonthalia, and the duo later on ended up being the first runner-up of the dance show. A year after, Sushant left Pavitra Rishta to pursue his Bollywood dream and got his first break in Bollywood film Kai Po Che, for which he received a nomination for the Filmfare Award for Best Male Debut.
