New Delhi | Jagran Entertainment Desk: Sushant Singh’ death due to fatal step of suicide which the 34-year-old took has shaken the foundations of Mumbai’s Entertainment world, much of which has been defined by the exploitation by PR agencies, internal politics and hereditarily accumulated power structures.

Veteran actress Raveena Tandon came forward on Monday night and highlighted how the harrowing details of the way the internal politics of Bollywood ends up destroying complete careers altogether. Adding on to the ‘outsider/insider’ narrative of conversations post Sushant’s death, the ‘Andaz Apna Apna’ actress said that ‘It can happen to someone born within.’

Raveena wrote on Twitter: “mean girl”gang of the industry. Camps do exist. Made fun of, bn removed from films by Heroes, their girlfriends, Journo chamchas & their career destroying fake media stories. Sometimes careers are destroyed. U struggle to keep afloat. fight back Some survive Some Dont. #oldwoundsrevisited.

Raveena, a National Award-winning actress, further added that ‘if you speak the truth, you are branded a liar, mad, psychotic.’

“When you speak the truth, you are branded a liar, Mad, psychotic. Chamcha journos write pages&pages destroying all the hard work that you might have done. Even though born in the industry, grateful for all it has given me, but cheap politics played by some can leave a sour taste ,” Raveena wrote further.

Raveena went on to say that ‘the more they tried to bury me, harder I fought back,’ while adding that cheap politics happen everywhere. But sometimes one roots for good to win, and Evil to lose.’

Raveena ended her series of revelations on Twitter by concluding that she loves the industry, ‘the pressures are high, there are good people and people who play cheap, there are all kinds,’ while adding further that, ‘One has to pick up the pieces,walk again and again,with the head held high.’

The atmosphere of unhealthy competition which drives the adrenalines of many in the Bollywood has been vociferously slammed by many ever since news of Sushant’s demise broke out. From Kangana Ranaut to Raveena Tandon, the revelations of Bollywood’s internal politics have shocked many, while continuing to modulate debates of mental health and depression.
