Raksha Bandhan 2019: Five Bollywood movies that picture eternal brother-sister bond
New Delhi | Jagran Entertainment Desk: The Rakha Bandhan festival is celebrated each year in the Shravan month to cherish the bond that a brother and sister share. On this day, sisters tie rakhi on their brother's wrist. In return, she receives gifts from her brother who also vows to protect her from all difficulties. This year, the festival will be celebrated along with Independence Day on August 15.
To make the festival more important, Hindi cinema has made a lot of contribution. There are numerous films on Raksha Bandhan. These films also contained songs which are played on this festival. The sibling bond is shown in an emotional way in such movies.

Agneepath remake was released in 2012. It is a story of a young boy whose parents are murdered and he is burning with revenge. Hrithik Roshan plays the role of the boy in the movie. He meets his lost sister while he goes out to take revenge after becoming a grown-up.
Hare Rama Hare Krishna
Film Hare Rama Hare Krishna was released in 1971. It is a struggling story of a young boy who goes out in search of his lost sister and manages to find her. Dev Anand and Zeenat Amaan play lead cast in the film.
Directed by Khaleed Mohammad, Fiza was made in the year 2000. Karisma Kapoor and Hrithik Roshan play the role of brother and sister. In this film, Karisma goes in search of her brother who was lost in 1993 Mumbai bombings.
Bhaag Milkha Bhaag
The movie is based on Indian athlete Milkha Singh. Farhan Akhtar and Divya Dutta can be seen playing the role of a brother and sister in the movie. They are widely praised for portraying the role of siblings. Released in 2013, the movie was directed by Rakesh Omprakash.
