New Delhi | Jagran Entertainment Desk: Actor Nawazuddin Siddiqui, who turned 46 on Tuesday has hit a turbulent timeline in his success-studded life, with a divorce notice sent by his wife Aaliya with whom he has been married for past eleven years and have two children, a nine-year-old son, Yaani and a five-year-old daughter, Shora.

The couple was reportedly stressed out for working things out between them for last many years. Aaliya Siddiqui, Nawazuddin in an interview to The Indian Express had revealed on Monday that she wants to "end the marriage".

"We have been having problems from the last ten years. And now, during the lockdown, I got thinking and thought I had to end this marriage. I had sent him the notice much before he left for Muzaffarpur, and he has not yet replied to my notice, so I have to take a legal route now," Aaliya was quoted as saying.

Aaliya's advocate Abhay Sahai said that the legal notice was sent to Nawazuddin on May 7 via Whatsapp and email, but so far Nawazuddin has kept continued to ignore it.

"The notice has been sent claiming maintenance and divorce. I would not like to get into the details of the notice regarding what are the contents and what are the allegations, but let me tell you that the allegations are quite serious and those are very sensitive to Mr Siddiqui as well as the family members," Advocate Sahai said in a video statement to the news agency PTI.

Nawazuddin Siddiqui is currently staying at his hometown of Budhana in western Uttar Pradesh on the pretext of spending the time of Eid with his family. He reached Budhana last Saturday after receiving permission to travel in the lockdown, and is now on the mandatory two-week home quarantine.

The actor had revealed the urgency of his situation due to which he was compelled to travel in these extreme circumstances.

"Due to the recent loss of my younger sister, my mother who is 71-years-old, got anxiety attack twice. We have followed all the guidelines given by the State Government. We are home quarantined at our hometown Budhana. Please stay home, stay safe," Nawazuddin wrote on Twitter.

On the work front, the Sacred Games superstar, awaits the release of Pushpendra Nath Mishra's Ghoomketu by the end of this year.
