New Delhi | Jagran Entertainment Desk: The final April day of this year left massive shockwaves across the country with the demise of superstar Rishi Kapoor, and that also, just when the country was trying to come to terms with the loss of another exceptionally reputed actor Irrfan Khan within a span of twenty four hours.

As the fans and critics nationwide are still not over the loss of Rishi Kapoor, Neetu Kapoor took to Instagram as she penned a note to the doctors and medical professionals of HN Reliance hospital, thanking them for treating Rishi Kapoor as if ‘he was just their own’.

Neetu wrote, “As a family we have a deep sense of loss.. when we sit together and look back at the past few months what we also feel is immense gratitude - gratitude towards the doctors at HN reliance hospital! The whole team of doctors, brothers and nurses headed by Dr Tarang Gianchandani treated my husband like he was their own - they advised us like we were their own.. and for all that and more I thank them from the bottom of my heart.(sic)”

The note was captioned into two adorably heartwarming pictures of Rishi Kapoor, one of which had Rishi and Neetu lovingly looking into each other’s eyes.

Rishi Kapoor left the world on April 30 at Mumbai’s HN Reliance Hospital, where he succumbed to the complications of cancer at the age of 67.

Rishi Kapoor and Neetu Singh came together on the silver screen for the first time in ‘Zahreela Insaan’ (1974). The two went on to share the screen in multiple projects, including Kabhi Kabhi (1976) and ‘Doosra Aadmi’ (1976), and would eventually marry in 1980. The two were reunited on silver screen in the film ‘Do Dooni Chaar’ (2010).

Rishi Kapoor is survived by  wife Neetu Kapoor, son Ranbir Kapoor and daughter Riddhima Kapoor Sahni.
