New Delhi | Jagran Entertainment Desk: The sudden death of Sushant Singh Rajput has sparked a debate of favouritism and nepotism in the film industry with several of the fans trolling filmmaker Karan Johar and other star kids.

Claiming that Sushant Singh Rajput took his life because he was banned from several movies and was not treated right in the industry, fans have continuously trolled several star kids in the Bollywood.

Amid all this, Sonam Kapoor – daughter of Anil Kapoor – has recently opened up about favouritism and nepotism in the film industry. “Karma is the biggest leveler. We are where we are because of our karmas and we are born and go through what we go through because of our karmas. Everyone who is spouting hate it’s your karma. All of you are in my prayers. I thank God every day for where I am and who I'm born too. If you really knew what Hindu philosophy and dharma is about you wouldn’t be so foolish,” she wrote in a post.
Along with it, Sonam shared several stories on her Instagram where she was supported by her acquaintances and some fans. There were also some screenshots of people who abused the actor to which she replied well.

She revealed in one of her shared stories that to protect her parents and her own mental health she has turned off the comment section.

Sonam Kapoor also shared the memories shared by fans of the film Raanjhana which has completed seven years today. The film was a blockbuster hit.

Meanwhile, Sushant Singh Rajput had committed suicide on 14 June. He hanged himself from the ceiling, leaving no note behind. The police confirmed that the 34-year-old actor was under depression and was taking anti-depressant pills. Further investigation is going on to know the reason behind the trigger of action.
