Kangana Ranaut begins 'Dhaakad' preparations with a virtual script reading session
Bollywood actress Kangana Ranaut who’s currently practicing self- isolation with family in her hometown Manali, has started preparing for her next film 'Dhaakad'. Kangana Ranaut’s team on Friday took to Twitter to share a screengrab of a virtual script reading session with director Razneesh Ghai, writer Ritesh Shah, and producer Sohail Maklai.
While sharing the screengrab, Kangana’s team wrote, “It's a virtual script reading session for #KanganaRanaut @RazyGhai, @writish, and @SohailMaklai as they start preparing for #Dhaakad”
Take a look at determined and excited Kangana Ranaut:
The film will be released in October this year considering the current coronavirus pandemic. 'Dhaakad' is an action drama starring Kangana in the lead role, who went through tough training for the action scenes in the film.
The trailer of the film was released in August last year which featured Kangana firing guns creating an intense mood and breaking the stereotype in the society.
The Queen actress had earlier said, “The guns that were used for the teaser were real and were very heavy. It took all my strength to lift one. My director Razy had a great time seeing me struggle with the machines having a good laugh. Hopefully, he will have me to use dummy guns for the shoot of the film."
"Dhaakad is not only a benchmark film for my career but will be a turning point for Indian cinema as well. The film is mounted on a large scale, is one of a kind female-led action film, and is apt for a Diwali release. If it is received well, there will be no looking back for women in Indian Cinema," Hindustan Times quoted her as saying.
On the other hand, she will be seen in a biopic titled Thalaivi, based on the real-life story of Jayalalithaa, former Tamil Nadu chief minister and actor-turned politician.
