New Delhi | Jagran Entertainment Desk: Megastar Amitabh Bachchan on Sunday took to social media to announce registrations for the start of the 12th edition of the popular TV show Kaun Banega Crorepati (KBC). The 77-year-old retweeted the original tweet shared by Sony TV including video to announce the opening of registrations for the show.

"Har cheez ko break lag sakta hai par sapnon ko break nahee lag sakta hai. Aapke sapnon ko udaan dene phir aa rahe hain @Srbachchan lekar #KBC12. Registrations shuru honge 9 May raat 9 baje se sirf Sony TV par," it read.

"ji .. its coming back to you again soon," he captioned the post.

In the video, the actor says how everything like conversations over a cup of tea, road rides, boring 9-5 office jobs, night out, mall romance can get a break, but there can never be a break on dreams.

"Nukkad ki chai ko, chai par hone wali ‘Hello-Hi’ ko, sarkon ke saath yaari ko, triple seat sawaari ko, office wali chaakri ko, aadhi raat ki tafri ko, shopping mall ke pyar. Lekin ek cheez hai jisse break nahin lag sakta, sapnon ko," he said as quoted by Hindustan Times.

KBC has so far had 11 seasons and Amitabh Bachchan has graced the show ten times barring one time when Shah Rukh Khan as the host.

According to IANS, the new season of the popular quiz show is set to go digital with the entire selection process. The promo was remotely directed by filmmaker Nitesh Tiwari featuring Big B, where the actor invites KBC aspirants.

For the first time in the history of KBC, the entire screening and selection will be managed digitally," said Amit Raisinghani, Head, business planning and communication, Sony Entertainment Television as quoted by IANS.

The show will be produced by StudioNEXT and the selection process will be conducted digitally, via SonyLIV.
