New Delhi | Jagran Entertainment Desk: The glorious voice of AR Rahman whose musical mastery has composed the music of Sushant Singh Rajput-Sanjana Sanghi starrer ‘Dil Bechara’, came together with every other voice behind film’s music to pay a special tribute to Sushant Singh Rajput through a virtual concert.

The singers, including AR Rahman, Arijit Singh, Mohit Chauhan, Jonita Gandhi, Hriday Gattani, Sunidhi Chauhan, and Shashaa Tirupati, who have lent their voice in the songs of ‘Dil Bechara’, sang their respective tracks for a live audience from their homes.

The Oscar-winning music composer, who has also composed the music of ‘Dil Bechara’, sang the title track of the film while being complemented by daughter Raheema Rahman, son AR Ameen and Hiral Viradia. Rahman said that the music of the film will remain special as all the nine tracks that he has composed for the film have a new meaning and a whole new life altogether.

“I wish Mukesh Chhabra and everyone who is part of this project my best wishes. May the almighty give us the strength to brave these challenging times. These songs are dedicated in the loving memory of Sushant Singh Rajput,” Rahman added.

The concert is taken forward by Sunidhi Chauhan and Hriday Gattani with song ‘Maskhari’, Mohit Chauhan and Shreya Ghoshal with ‘Taare Gin’, Arijit Singh and Shashaa Tirupati with ‘Khul ke jeene ka’, and is closed by Jonita Gandhi and Hriday Gattani with the song ‘Main Tumhara’.

‘Dil Bechara’, based on American author John Green’s bestseller novel ‘The Fault in Our Stars’, will mark the final on-screen appearance of the late-actor Sushant Singh Rajput. The film was earlier scheduled to release in theatres on the first Friday of May but had to be postponed due to Coronavirus pandemic. The film will directly release on Disney-Hotstar on July 24th.
