New Delhi | Jagran Entertainment Desk: Hours after posting death threats she is receiving since the death of his boyfriend and Bollywood actor Sushant Singh Rajput, actress Rhea Chakraborty on Thursday called for CBI probe in his death case by tagging Union Home Minister Amit Shah on Instagram.

"Respected @amitshahofficial sir, I'm Sushant Singh Rajput's girlfriend Rhea Chakraborty, it is now over a month since his sudden demise. I have complete faith in the government, however, in the interest of justice, I request you with folded hands to initiate a CBI enquiry into this matter. I only want to understand what pressures prompted Sushant to take this step," Rhea Chakraborty wrote on Instagram.

Earlier in the day, the 28-year-old actor had shared a screenshot of a hate message she received on Instagram. "I was called a gold digger. kept quiet I was called a murderer. I kept quiet, I was slut-shamed, I kept quiet. But how does my silence give you the right to tell me that you will get me raped and murdered if I don't commit suicide," the actor wrote tagging the alleged online attacker.

She also tagged cyber cell and requested the authorities to look into the threats. "I request @cyber_crime_helpline @cybercrimeindia to please take necessary action. Enough is enough," she wrote.

Demanding a CBI probe into Sushant Singh Rajput's death case, BJP MP Subramanian Swamy also wrote a letter to Prime Minister Narendra Modi. In the letter, Swamy revealed that he came to know about the links of “many Bollywood big names” with the “Dons in Dubai” who are seeking to ensure a cover-up by Police so that voluntary suicide is concluded as the reason behind the demise of Sushant.

He further added, “I urge you... that you may consider advising the chief minister of Maharashtra directly or through the Governor to agree to a CBI inquiry. The Mumbai Police already has its hands full with coronavirus pandemic issues and maintaining law and order under the circumstances. Hence, this laborious duty of conducting this inquiry with public credibility is being strained. A CBI inquiry would be the only way to retain public confidence.”

Bollywood actor Sushant Singh Rajput died on June 14. The actor allegedly committed suicide by hanging on the ceiling. Police are still investigating if there was any professional rivalry, however, no such issues have been found so far. Police confirmed that the actor was taking anti-depressant pills from last six months.
