New Delhi | Jagran Entertainment Desk: Sushant Singh Rajput and Katrina Kaif never shared space in a single frame, yet the two would admire each other’s work with continuous expressions put out in the media about the same. Sushant was due to play the lead in Abhishek Kapoor’s ‘Fitoor’ (2016) opposite Katrina Kaif but it reportedly did not materialise due to undisclosed reasons. Katrina had named Sushant as the actor she admires the most back in 2016.

Back then, during a Facebook Live, a fan asked her to name a young actor she admired the most. To which ‘Mere Brother Ki Dulhan’ actor replied: “I believe that Sushant was very very good in Dhoni, which just released. I met my friend Gattu (Abhishek Kapoor) a few days back, who of course, was the director of Fitoor, which we did recently. And he said that he (Sushant) has done some amazing work. Congratulations there, to him.”

Katrina Kaif was among those least good human beings who praised #sushanthsinghrajput she was not even a friend of Sushant she just knew him by watching his movies Katrina only recommended Sushant's name to Gattu Kapoor and Gattu Kapoor approached him for Fitoor but Sushant rejected the offer as he was having date issues with other movies, so please stop judging and misunderstanding Katrina Kaif because she's Karan Johar's friend and Salman Khan's ex she just dated Salman Khan and their dating ended up way back in 2008 he neither produced or gave her movies neither he launched her Katrina Kaif have also went through the same rascism which Sushant went through Katrina is neutral to everyone in the industry and she has to be otherwise Mafias will ruin her career also so please stop misunderstanding Katrina Kaif just because she is Salman Khan's ex and a friend of Karan Johar . . . . #katrinakaif #katrina #itskaytobeyou #kaybykatrina #kayxnykaa #kat #katrinakaifvideos #katrinakaiffans #kaif #katrinakaifsongs #katrinakaifmovies #katholics #indiasfirstfemalesuperhero #phonebhoot #boycottsalmankhan #boycottkaranjohar #justiceforsushantsinghrajput #sushantsinghrajput

Katrina had also expressed condolences after Sushant Singh Rajput’s death. The 36-year-old actress had shared a monochromatic picture of the late actor, in which Sushant endearingly sports an exquisite coffee brown leather jacket.

“Rest in Peace,” Katrina had written captioning Sushant’s picture on her Instagram page.

On the silver screen, Sushant Singh Rajput, 34, immortalised Mahendra Singh Dhoni, India’s former captain under whom the country won the ICC Cricket World Cup after 27 years in 2011 in an awe-inspiring acting spirit.

Former Indian wicketkeeper Kiran More, who had trained Sushant Singh Rajput for the role of Dhoni, told PTI, “He was really involved, he used to train just like a cricketer. He practised regularly for nine months for the role. He mastered Dhoni’s helicopter shot.”

Sushant committed suicide on June 14 at his Bandra house in Mumbai. He is survived by his father and four sisters. His last film ‘Dil Bechara’ based-on novelist John Green’s ‘The Fault In Our Stars’ is shortly expected to release on Disney-Hotstar.
