It is observed on different days across various parts of the months, most commonly on March 8 and second Sunday of May. This day is celebrated by spending quality time with mothers, sending messages or wishes, and giving special gifts. As the nation is celebrating Mother's Day today, Bollywood actors Kareena Kapoor, Shilpa Shetty, Neha Dhupia, among others took to social media to showcase the love for their mothers and celebrate motherhood on this special day.

Bollywood actor Kangana Ranaut dedicated a beautiful poem for her mother Asha. "I'm your longing for life. When I first arose in your young heart...Your eyes gleamed with hope."

The 33-year-old actor wrote about the "love and warmth" she saw nowhere else but only in her mother.
