New Delhi | Jagran Entertainment Desk: Bhojpuri superstar Rani Chatterjee, who recently appeared in Khatron Ke Khiladi, has sought help from Mumbai Police as she is in depression due to a person who is allegedly harassing her.

In an Instagram post, the actress narrated how a man Dhananjay Singh has been harassing her on Facebook with indecent and obscene remarks, which has left her suffering from depression, adding that she could do something to herself.

She also wrote that the man body-shames her and even called her budhiya (old woman). Rani said that she has been trying to ignore all this but now its becoming difficult for her as people keep sending the cheap comments written by the man on Facebook.

Rani said she reported about this to the cyber cell, but was told that the alleged person had not used her name. However, the actress said that the posts were about her.   

“I will either commit suicide since I am suffering from depression because of this for the past several years. I cannot tolerate this anymore, #suicide,” she wrote in her post.

The actress also shared Dhananjay's picture and a few posts done by Dhananjay. Mumbai Police is yet to respond to her post.

Several fans came out in support of the actress and left comments encouraging her to stay positive and fight the situation.

A week ago, Rani had taken to Instagram to write about facing depression due to social media. She wrote, “Whenever I feel depressed or I feel any stress, I check social media, then I become more depressed, I think that social media now makes you more sad than making you happy #facebook #instagram.”
