COVID-positive Amitabh Bachchan's residence Bungalows 'Jalsa' and 'Janak' declared containment zones, sealed
New Delhi | Jagran Entertainment Desk: After Bollywood Superstar Amitabh Bachchan and his son, Abhishek Bacchan tested positive for COVID-19, Amitabh Bachchan’s Bungalows 'Jalsa' and 'Janak' have been sealed by the Brihanmumbai Municipal Corporation in Mumbai's Juhu. The actor’s Bungalows have been declared containment zones and sanitisation process is in full swing at his residence by the BMC officials. The cleaning staff of the BMC was spotted carrying on their duties at the residence.

Meanwhile, Maharashtra Health Minister Rajesh Tope in a tweet confirmed that Bollywood megastar Amitabh Bachchan’s daughter-in-law Aishwarya Rai Bachchan and granddaughter Aaradhya have also tested positive in the second round of COVID-19 testing for the dreadful infection on Sunday. The minister also informed that Aishwarya's mother-in-law Jaya Bachchan has tested negative for coronavirus. However, Earlier in the day, Mumbai Mayor Kishori Pednekar had said that Aishwarya Rai and her mother-in-law Jaya Bachchan have tested negative for coronavirus.
Megastar Amitabh Bachchan and son Abhishek Bachchan was admitted to Nanavati hospital on Saturday after testing positive for coronavirus. News agency PTI reported that a statement from Nanavati Hospital said that both Amitabh Bachchan and Abhishek Bachchan are “now stable with mild symptoms and they are currently admitted in the isolation unit of the hospital.
Meanwhile, The 77-year-old actor himself took to Twitter to confirm his diagnosis and also asked people who have come in his contact in the last 10 days to get tested. “I have tested COVID positive. Shifted to Hospital. Hospital informing authorities, family and staff undergone tests, results awaited,” Amitabh tweeted.
His son, The 44-year-old actor, Abhishek Bachchan, also tweeted, “Earlier today both my father and I tested positive for COVID 19. Both of us having mild symptoms have been admitted to the hospital. We have informed all the required authorities and our family and staff are all being tested. I request all to stay calm and not panic. Thank you. The BMC has been in touch and we are complying with them.”
The financial capital of the country, Mumbai alone has almost 92,000 cases, and is India’s second-worst affected city in the country, after Delhi. Coronavirus cases in Maharashtra have crossed the mark of 2.46 lakh cases, making it the worst-affected state in the country.
