Amitabh Bachchan and Abhishek Bacchhan test COVID-19 positive, hospitalised; Twitter wishes for speedy recovery
New Delhi | Jagran Entertainment Desk: Bollywood megastar Amitabh Bachchan and his son Abhishek Bachchan were admitted to Mumbai's Nanavati Hospital on Saturday after testing positive for positive. The 77-year-old and his son took to Twitter to confirm the news.
"T 3590 -I have tested CoviD positive .. shifted to Hospital .. hospital informing authorities .. family and staff undergone tests , results awaited .. All that have been in close proximity to me in the last 10 days are requested to please get themselves tested," Mr Bachchan tweeted.
"Earlier today both my father and I tested positive for COVID 19. Both of us having mild symptoms have been admitted to hospital. We have informed all the required authorities and our family and staff are all being tested. I request all to stay calm and not panic. Thank you," wrote Abhishek.
Soon, the social media was flooded with wishes for the megastar, praying for his speedy recovery from COVID-19. Several Bollywood celebs, including Sonam Ahuja, Kunal Kohli and Divya Dutta also reacted to the news, wishing for Bachchan.

As per media reports, the father-son duo have mild symptoms of the disease and has been admitted to the Respiratory Isolation Unit at the Nanavati Hospital.
On Friday, Bachchan had shared a couple of throwback photographs on Instagram. One was a collage of childhood photos of his children Abhishek and Shweta, places along with their recent pictures. "Kaise itne bade ho gaye? (How they grew older)," read the caption.
The Bollywood veteran also shared a throwback picture of himself from his early days in the industry and wrote: "Kuchh zamane aise bhi the, ab zamane beet gaye, bas ab kuchh hi bache rehte hain."
