After June-12 scheduled release of Ayushmann Khurrana-Big B starrer ‘Gulabo Sitabo’, the direct OTT release of this Karan Johar-produced film strengthens the growing trend of bypassing the theatre-release of the films in the wake of Coronavirus pandemic.

Directed by Sharan Sharma, the release date of ‘Gunjan Saxena: The Kargil Girl’ has not been revealed as yet. The film is co-written by Nikhil Mehrotra, who wrote the screen work for Bhoothnath Returns (2014) and most recently in ‘Panga’ (2020) as well. The film also stars Vineet Kumar, Manav Vij, Angad Bedi and Pankaj Tripathi.

In 1999, while flying Cheetah Helicopters, Flight Lieutenant Gunjan Saxena and Flight Lieutenant Srividya Rajan operated in air in the Kargil war zone.
