New Delhi | Jagran Entertainment Desk: Voting for Maharashtra assembly elections took place on Monday. Bollywood celebrities were second to none when it came to exercise their voting rights. They took out their time from busy schedules to cast their votes. Celebrities such as superstars Salman Khan, Shah Rukh Khan, Bachchans and Kapoors cast their votes. But, being unfortunate, the Beqabu actor 'Sanjay Kapoor' could not exercise his franchise.

As per reports, Sanjay Kapoor reached his local polling station in Lokhandwala but his name was not included in the voter list. Following this, he reached another polling station in Juhu, where also his name was not included in the voting list. The information was reported by Spotboye. The actor said that he had also taken Aadhaar card and other documents with him, but his name was missing in both the polling stations.

To recall, Sanjay Kapoor has been recently awarded the 'Most Inspiring Indian Bollywood Actor' award in the UK.

Top B-Town celebs such as Aamir Khan, Ritesh Deshmukh, Salman Khan, Kareena Kapoor, Deepika Padukone, Ranveer Singh, Anushka Sharma, Hrithik Roshan, Varun Dhawan, Vidya Balan, Anil Kapoor, Deepika Padukone, Gulzar, Prem Chopra, and several others cast their vote in the state assembly election.

Meanwhile, celebrities like Akshay Kumar, Katrina Kaif, Alia Bhatt were trolled for not being able to vote as the above-mentioned stars have dual citizenship, and according to the voting rules, they cannot vote in India.

The fate of the candidates in assembly elections will be decided on Thursday (October 24). As per the majority of exit polls, BJP-Shiv Sena is likely to form the government with the majority and enter a second term in the office.
