New Delhi | Jagran Entertainment Desk: Megastar Amitabh Bachchan on Thursday completed his 50 years in Bollywood. He had made his debut in 1969 with the film Saat Hindustani. Since then the actor has appeared on over hundred movie across last five decades giving a number of hits. As Shehanshah completed his 50 years in the industry, here's how B-Town wished on this occasion:

Son Abhishek Bachchan was the first to cheer for his father. In a couple of tweets, he wrote, "Not just as a son, but as an actor and a fan... We are all blessed to witness greatness! There is so much to admire, to learn and even more to appreciate. Several generations of cinema lovers get to say we lived in the times of BACHCHAN!!!"

“Congratulations Pa on completing 50 years in the Film industry. We now await the next 50! Love you.”

Filmmaker Karan Johar echoed the sentiments of Junior Bachchan. He retweeted Abhishek's post by writing, "will remain the most inspiring story in the world of entertainment! Words alone cannot describe his achievements...we are all honoured to be able to watch his genius unravel in front of our eyes! Congratulations to the proud son."

 

Queen of Television Ekta Kapoor wrote, "There are stars ...then superstars ...and then there is AMITABH BACHCHAN (uncle /sir)"

Amitabh's popularity reached heights in the 1970s after films like Sholay, Deewar and Zanjeer. Recently he received India's highest award in cinema 'Dadasaheb Phalke Award'.

Last seen in 'Badla', Bachchan is also the recipient of four National Film Awards for roles in Piku, Paa, Black and Agneepath. In 2015, Amitabh Bachchan was honoured with Padma Vibhusahan--the highest civilian award of India.
