Jharkhand Assembly Polls 2019 | ‘We have buried Naxalism 20-feet under earth in Jharkhand’: Amit Shah
Chatra | Jagran News Desk: Union Home Minister Amit Shah on Thursday addressed a rally in Jharkhand’s Chatra and said that the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) has finished Naxalism in the state and buried it 20-feet under the earth in Jharkhand.
Speaking at an election rally in here, Shah praised the government’s decision to abrogate Article 370 from Jammu and Kashmir and said that the government has initiated work to remove terrorism from the entire country.
“By abrogating Article 370 and 35 A the Narendra Modi government has initiated work to remove terrorism from the entire country,” said Amit Shah while addressing a rally in Chatra.
Speaking about the Supreme Court’s Ayodhya Verdict, Shah said that a grand temple will be built at the temple-town.
Shah also took a jibe at the Congress and said that Jharkhand didn’t come into existence as long as there was Congress government and the state was formed under a BJP government.
He also said that the JMM, Congress and the RJD are fighting the state Assembly election in an alliance.
“Where was Congress when the youth were sacrificing their lives and fighting for formation of Jharkhand state? Jharkhand didn't come into existence as long as there was Congress government. It was formed when BJP came into power,” he said.
“I would like to ask Hemant Babu (Soren) what was the stand of Congress when youth of Jharkhand were fighting for a separate state,” he said.
“Atal Bihari Vajpayee formed Jharkhand, Narendra Modi and Raghubar Das taking it forward,” he added.
Praising the government at the state, the Home Minister said that harkhand had witnessed large scale corruption but there is not a single corruption charge against Raghubar Das government.
“The people of this country, the people of Jharkhand elected a Prime Minister who is the son of a tea-seller. He understood the pain of the mothers and sisters and 73,178 toilets were built in Chatra assembly,” he further said.
Jharkhand Assembly Polls will be held in five phases. The first phase of polling will be held on November 30, the second phase on December 6, the third phase on December 12, the fourth phase on December 16 and the last phase on December 20.
In the 2014 Assembly Elections in Jharkhand, the BJP had won 43 of the 81 seats while the JMM 19 seats and the Congress emerged victorious on 6 seats.
