Jamtara Assembly Area

Jamtara seat is also included in the 90 assembly seats of Jharkhand. Last Assembly Election held in 2014 where total vote percentage was 78.63%. The total number of voters were 244034, out of which male voters were 128264 and female voters were 115769. Incumbent MLA IRFAN ANSARI contested from INC party and got 67486 votes from total votes polled and won the election.
