Chandigarh | Jagran News Desk: The Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) on Sunday released its manifesto for the upcoming Assembly Elections in Haryana.

The BJP, which described its poll manifesto as a 'Sankalp Patra', released it at a hotel Chandigarh in presence of its working president JP Nadda and Chief Minister Manohar Lal Khattar. The party said that the manifesto was a ‘commitment paper’ and it represents all sections of the society.    

“It is a commitment paper and it is a serious and studied document. A lot of effort has gone into its preparation. This is a pragmatic and practical paper,” said national working president JP Nadda while addressing the media.

“This commitment paper represents all sections of the society. Its focus is on addressing a person sitting on the last pedestal,” he added.

Meanwhile, Haryana Chief Minister Manohar Lal Khattar said that BJP's manifesto is based on the principles of Ram Rajya.

“The BJP's manifesto is based on the principles of Ram Rajya. We had given a transparent administration and zero tolerance towards corruption in our previous manifesto. Now, we have achieved this since it was our first resolution,” he said.

Minimum support price to farmers:

The BJP has promised to ensure the purchase of every crop at minimum support price to the farmers under the manifesto. It has said that the government will double the farmers’ income by 2022 and said that the government will ensure irrigation cards and water for irrigation to all the farmers in the state.

The BJP further said that it will provide one lakh solar pump to the farmers and it will prepare a policy for the shifting of existing tubewell connections to allow farmers utilise water for irrigation.


On jobs, the party has promised to provide skill training with an outlay of Rs 500 crore to 25 lakh youths. Also, a new ministry under the name of ‘Yuva Vikas and Swarojgar’ will be set up to address the grievances of the youths.

Benefits to industries:

The party, in its manifesto, has said that the DC rate will be strictly enforced in all outsourcing jobs in the state and special benefits will be given to industries providing more than 95 per cent employment to the local people of Haryana.

Women empowerment:

To empower the women, the BJP has promised to provide free education to two girls from families whose annual family income is less than Rs 1.8 lakh. It will also set up a special centre to help women.

Enhancing the skills of youth:

The party has said that it will form a Ministry of Youth Development and Self Employment in the state to enhance the skills of the youths in Haryana.
