New Delhi | Jagran Education Desk: The results for Class 10 exams by West Bengal Board of Seconday Education (WBBSE) is likely to be released by August, according to media reports. Candidates, who had appeared in the exam, are advised to check the official website of WBBSE at or to check their scorecard.

“It will take a month to complete the post-evaluation process, following which the results can be announced by August,” the board president Kalyanmoy Ganguly told Indian Express.

According to a latest update, the WBBSE had asked the head examiners to collect answer scripts of class 10 board exams by examiners by the end of this month to facilitate the process of publication of result.

"Every examiner will hand over the evaluated paper to his or her head examiner by this month," a board official told PTI.
The West Bengal Education Partha Chatterjee has said that the result publication date will be fixed after normalcy returns and lockdown comes to end in the state.

The WBBSE is yet to conduct exams of two remaining papers. They are likely to be held during the month of June. The exams and results are delayed due to the COVID-19 pandemic in the country.

Meanwhile, the class 11 students would be promoted to higher class without appearing in the annual exam. 

The admissions for the Higher Secondary course is likely to begin in August. The academic session is likely to begin in September.

On Wednesday, the Union Home Minister Amit Shah said that the remaining CBSE exam can be conducted during the lockdown. State government should take responsibilities to arrange buses and transport students to exam centres.

The Class 10 exam was conducted from February 18 to 27. Over 10 lakh students had appeared in the board out which 56.7 per cent were girls.
