New Delhi | Jagran Education Desk: The West Bengal Board of Secondary Examination (WBBSE) on Wednesday declared the class 10th board exam results 2020. The Madhyamik results 2020 were declared on the official website of WBBSE at wbbse.org.  

This year, out of the 10.03 lakh students who sat for the West Bengal 10th board exams, 8.43 lakh students (86.34%) have passed the class 10th exams. This year, boys have outshined girls in WBBSE Madhyamik Results 2020. A total of 89.87 per cent boys have cleared the exam as against 83.48 per cent girls.

A student named Aritra Paul has topped the WBBSE Madhyamik Results 2020 with 694 marks, out of 700. This year, there are 84 students in the merit list of the top 10. 

Chief Minister Mamata Banerjee on Tuesday, also announced that the class 12th board exam results 2020 will be released on July 17, 2020 (Friday).  “The result of Madhyamik exam will be announced on Wednesday, while the result of class 12 exam will be announced on Friday, July 17”, chief minister Mamata Banerjee said as reported by news agency ANI.

After the results will be announced, the students appeared for the Madhyamik or class 10th board exams can check their scorecard on the official website of WBBSE at wbbse.org and wbresults.nic.in. The board is also expected not to release the merit list for this year.

To ease the students, here are the steps they can follow to check their class 10th board exam scorecard at wbbse.org and wbresults.nic.in.

Step 1: Log on to the official websites of WBBSE at wbresults.nic.in or wbbse.org

Step 2: Click on the link that reads ‘West Bengal Madhyamik result 2020’

Step 3: Put your roll number and date of birth on the login page.

Step 4: Click on “Submit” .

Step 5: Your class 10th board exam result 2020 will be displayed on screen.

 

Step 6: Download and take its print out for future references

The West Bengal Board of Secondary Education conducted the class 10th exams from February 18 to February 27, while the class 12th board exams were conducted from February 12 to February 27 by the West Bengal Council of Higher Secondary Education (WBCHSE).

Around 10.15 lakh students appeared in the class 10th board exams this year, of which over 5.76 lakh were girls, while over 4.39 lakh boys appeared for the West Bengal Madhyamik board exams in 2020.
