New Delhi | Jagran Education Desk: The Uttarakhand Board of School Education (UBSE) on Saturday announced the schedule for the pending class 10th and 12th board exams in the state. While announcing the fresh exams dates, the Uttarakhand Board of School Education (UBSE) said that it will be conducting the exams for pending subjects between June 20 and June 23, 2020.

The class 10th and class 12th board examinations in the state were postponed after the government imposed a nation-wide lockdown in the country in March to contain the spread of the coronavirus which has so far afflicted more than 2.36 lakh people across the nation.

As per the new schedule, the pending class 10th and class 12th board exams will be held from June 20 till June 23. However, the Uttrakhand Board of School Education (UBSE) said that the board will release the subject-wise date sheet soon.

The Uttarakhand Board of School Education (UBSE) also directed the responsible authorities to start the evaluation process as soon as possible. The board also said that the evaluation process for answer sheets will begin within a week and should be completed by July 15, 2020. The results for class 10th and class 12th board exams wil;l likely to be released in July end.

In its notice issued today, the Uttarakhand Board of School Education (UBSE) directed the state  secretary to submit the list of exam centres to respective district collectors and to start vacating the exam centres being used as a quarantine facility for suspected coronavirus patients in the state.

The class 10th board exams in Uttarakhand started on March 3 and were scheduled to end on March 25, while the class 12th board exams started on March 2 and were to end on March 25, however, due to the coronavirus-induced nation-wide lockdown, the exams were postponed. Over 2 lakh students are estimated to have appeared for the board exams in the state this year.

Last year, 76.43 per cent students passed in class 10 and 80.13 per cent students passed in class 12 board examinations in Uttarakhand.
