New Delhi | Jagran News Desk: The Union Public Service Commission (UPSC) has released a notification for Civil Services jobs. As per the notification released on, hiring will take place a total of 796 posts. The application process for the vacancies began earlier today. Interested candidates can log onto the website by March 3.


For the Civil Services examination you need to be a graduate from a recognised university. The minimum age required to apply for the above posts is 21 years. The candidates can apply for the posts by filling the form and paying Rs 100 online via card. Women and SC, ST candidates do need to pay any money.

UPSC CSE exam is held in three stages. The first stage includes prelims exam. After the pre-examination, the mains examination takes place. Only those who pass the pre-exam will be able to participate in the main exam. It will be then followed by an interview.


The main exam is of 1750 marks while the interview is of 275 marks. Candidates will be selected on the basis of scores in mains and interviews.


Here's how to apply for 796 posts offered by UPSC:

Step 1: Visit the official website--

Step 2: Click on online application for various examinations of UPSC

Step 3: Click on Part I

Step 4: Read the instructions carefully and click on Yes.

Step 5: Fill your name, parent's name, education qualification, address and click on submit.

Step 6: Pay the fees via debit, credit card or UPI.

Step 7: Choose your preferred location for prelims

Step 8: Upload passport size photograph and signature along with Aadhar or Voter ID.

Step 9: Verify details and click on OK.


The UPSC conducts examination to recruit Indian Administrative Services (IAS), Indian Police Services (IPS) and Indian Foreign Services (IFS), Railway Group A (Indian Railway Accounts Service), Indian Postal Services, Indian Postal Service, among others.
