UP Board Result 2020 Date and Time: Uttar Pradesh Madhyamik Shiksha Parishad releases intermediate and matric scorecard
New Delhi | Jagran Education Desk: The results for UP Board class 10th and class 12th examinations 2020 were declared on Saturday by the Uttar Pradesh Madhyamik Shiksha Parishad (UPMSP). The results were declared on the official website of UPMSP at upmsp.edu.in and upresults.nic.in. The students can also check their results at Jagran Josh.
The students waiting for the results can also receive their scorecard on mobile phones via SMS. Class 10th students can receive their results by sending ‘UP10ROLLNUMBER’ to 56263, while the class 12th students have to send ‘UP12ROLLNUMBER’ on the same number.

Uttar Pradesh deputy chief minister Dinesh Sharma had on Tuesday announced that the Uttar Pradesh Madhyamik Shiksha Parishad (UPMSP) will be declaring the class 10th and class 12th board exams results on June 27. He had also said that the UP Board exams result 2020 will be declared at around 12:00 pm on the official website of UP Board at upmsp.edu.in. The students appeared for the exams can also check their board exams results at upresults.nic.in.
According to the official data, this year over 56 lakh students appeared for the class 10th and class 12th board exams in Uttar Pradesh. Around 30,24,632 candidates registered for the UP 10th Board examinations, while 25,86,440 students registered for the 12th board exams this year.
According to the Uttar Pradesh Madhyamik Shiksha Parishad rules, a candidate would need to score at least 35 per cent in each subject to clear the inter and matric exams. However, if a student fails to do that, then he or she will have to appear for the compartment test. The UPMSP has announced that the dates for the compartment test will be announced after it releases the results.
The class 10th and class 12th board exams were conducted in March this year. The results were expected to be released by April this year, however, the UP board exams 2020 results got delayed due to the coronavirus outbreak in the country and the lockdown imposed to check the spread of the deadly pathogen.
The Uttar Pradesh Board, usually declare its results in the afternoon. In 2019, the UP class 10th and class 12th board results were declared on April 27 at 12:00 pm. Around 80 per cent of the total students appeared for the class 12th board exams passed the examinations, while around 70 per cent of the total students appeared for class 10th board exams cleared the examinations.
In order to check fraudulent steps used by the students to pass the exams, the Uttar Pradesh Board took a series of measures and banned mobile phones inside the examination hall even for the teachers. The board also equipped the examination centres with CCTV cameras.
