New Delhi | Jagran Education Desk: Jharkhand Education Board, formally known as Jharkhand Academic Council declared the results of Class tenth board exams 2020 today. Students can download their results from jac.nic.in, the official website of Jharkhand Academic Council.

The scorecards can also be downloaded from jacresults.com, jac.jharkhand.gov.in and jac.nic.in. Students who couldn’t pass the exam successfully or wish to improve their marks will have the option of improving their scores by appearing in Jharkhand Board Compartmental/Improvement exams after the result is declared.

A total of 2.88 lakh (2,88,928) students cleared the secondary exam successfully out of 3.85 lakh (3,85,144) students appeared, which means that a total of 75.015 of students cleared the class 10th exams. This year, the pass percentage of boys is 75.88% while girls’ pass per cent is 74.25%.

A total of 52 per cent students (1,48,051) are first division holders, while 42 per cent (1,24,036) scored second division marks and only 6 per cent of students scored third division marks. The pass percentage of JAC 10th Result has improved this year. Last year, the pass percentage was 70.81 which has increased to 75.01 this year.

The pass per cent of Koderma is 83.64% which is the highest among all districts of Jharkhand, followed by Ranchi at 80.52%. Pakur district of Jharkhand has the lowest pass per cent of 63.98% preceded by Latehar at 64.67%

Last year, a total of 33 students found a place among the top ten high scorers in all of Jharkhand. The girls of Hazaribagh’s ‘Indira Gandhi Girls High School’ (IGGHS) defeated their counterparts from Latehar’s ‘Netarhat Residential High School’ (NRHS).

Priya Raj of IGGHS topped the state with 496 marks out of 500, followed by Amresh Kumar (495) of NRHS at second place, and Aman Kumar (492) and Gopal Singh (492) at third place respectively, both from NRHS.

Out of 33 state toppers in 2019, 18 belonged to ‘Indira Gandhi Girls High School’ (IGGHS) of Hazaribagh, followed by 12 from Latehar’s ‘Netarhat Residential High School’ (NRHS), and rest from schools in Gamhariya, Jamtara and Patamda. The toppers scored between 484 and 496 marks out of 500.
